WEST ALLIS, Wisconsin (July 24, 2014) - US Youth Soccer Region II is proud to announce that St. Charles, Mo. and the Missouri Youth Soccer Association will host the 2015 US Youth Soccer Region II (Midwest) Presidents Cup, June 11-14 at the St. Louis Youth Soccer Association (SLYSA) Soccer Complex.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup competitions provide a progressive, competitive experience to US Youth Soccer teams from the state to regional to national level.
"Missouri Youth Soccer is extremely excited to host the 2015 Region II Presidents Cup. This will be our first hosted event in over 10 years and we are anxious to put on a fantastic event befitting this great program,” states Jake Griesenauer, Executive Director of Missouri Youth Soccer. “We look forward to welcoming the Region to the St. Charles, Mo. area and will do whatever we can to ensure a great experience.”
Each US Youth Soccer State Association determines the path through which its state teams advance to the regional competitions. Regional winners of the Under-13 through Under-17 Boys and Girls age groups will earn a berth to the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 8-15, 2015 in Overland Park, Kan.
St. Charles is a western suburb of St. Louis, Mo., located just 20 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from the airport. Teams can enjoy the small-town atmosphere and restaurants of downtown St. Charles or other area attractions such as the St. Louis Zoo, Busch Stadium or the new USL-Pro team St. Louis FC.
