The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title. The event provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.
US Youth Soccer Regional Presidents Cup events will determine the regional qualifiers that will compete in the US Youth National Presidents Cup. Regional winners in the 13U through 17U age groups for both boys and girls, will vie for the national title. Region II Presidents Cup has added an 18U age group for both boys and girls effective for the 2016-17 seasonal year. The 18U age group concludes at the regional event.
For the 2016-17 seasonal year, the oldest age group in the US Youth Soccer National and Regionals Presidents Cup events will be 17/18U, with competition also featuring the 13U through 16U age groups. Eligible players in the 17/18U age group must be born on or after Aug. 1, 1999. This one-year change is in place to allow players to participate in their final year of Presidents Cup eligibility that they would have otherwise missed due to the implementation of birth year registration.
