US Youth Soccer Releases Girls Best XI Teams

Boca Raton, FL - The US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Thanksgiving Interregioal wrapped up on November 23rd. The Region II Teams finished with a combined 10-1-1 record. After a very successful event Girls Head Coach Mike Dickey commented on the Girls ODP Facebook Page, saying "Congrats players, coaches and admin. Everyone did a great job this past week. Very proud of the way you all played in Boca."

US Youth Soccer Interregional Developmental Camp(1997, 1996, and 1995)

In early February a group of girls from 1997, 1996 and 1995 birth years will take part in a Interregional Developmental Camp in Las Vegas, NV. What is an Interregional Developmental Camp? It is a camp designed to train the players from around the country while allowing them to grow in the interpretation and understanding of the beautiful game. Focusing on problem solving and self reflection. The goal of this camp is for each player to leave with identifiable tools for their "toolbox" to interpret, understand and solve problems in any environment they are in. The camp will be held February 7-12, 2012 at Charlie Kellogg and Joe Zaher Sports Complex.

1997 Girls ODP Costa Rica Tour
The US Youth Soccer Region II Girls ODP 1997 Team will travel to Costa Rica to take part in an Interregional Tournament in which the Regional Teams will compete against professional womens soccer teams. The girls will be traveling the 23 February through 1 March, 2012.

Region II Girls Invited to U-18 WNTCamp

Womens National Team Technical Director April Heinrichs is holding a U-18 Training Camp in Carson, California that will run from March 12-19, 2011 for the second camp this year. Girls are from 1994, 1995 and 1992 age groups and will be eligible for the U-20 Womnes World Cup 2012 in Uzbekistan.

2011 US Youth Soccer Thanksgiving Interregional Schedule Released
The US Youth Soccer Thanksgiving Interregional will take place at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. The Four Regions will compete at the 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1997 ages, November 18-25, 2011.

U15 GNT will Hold Training Camp in with U17WNT
US Soccer Development Director Jill Ellis and Damon Nahas called in 22 Players, born in 1996, to the Home Deopt Center in Carson, CA. Two additional roster spots will be filled prior to camp, which will be held August 21-29, 2011. These players are age eligible for the 2012 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup. Players from US Youth Soccer Region II that have been invited to attend are:

Cassie Phillips - Howell, MI
Megan Buckingham - Novi, MI
Reily Martin - Carmel, IN
Kayla McCoy - Lincolnwood, IL

U-17 WNT to Hold Training Camp at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

The U17 WNT training camp will be August 21-29 and will contain two international Matches against Japan in preparations for qualifing for the 2012 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup held in Azerbaijan, September 22nd to October 26th. This will be the first camp since Albertin Montoya was offically named head coach of the U17 side. In prior competitions the U17WNT defeated Germany U17 3-1 and tied Germany U18 2-2 in Florida. Midfielder Summer Green, a Region II Pool Member, and Forward Toni Payne were leading scores so far this year with 4 goals each in the 2011 Season. Montoya called in 26 players including, Zoey Goralski, a defender from Naperville, IL who is a representative from US Youth Soccer Region II.



Rosters Announced for Thanksgiving Interregional
   The US Youth Soccer Regional Teams will converge on Boca Raton Florida to face off in the Thanksgiving Interregional. All four Regions will put their 1994, 1995, 1996, and 1997 teams on the pitch. This event will put all of the girls in front of numerous college coaches from around the country as well as US Soccer National Team Staff.

The US U14 Girls Identification Camp will be held July 31, 2011 through August 7, 2011 at University of Portland in Portland, Oregon. The following girls have been part of Region II ODP:
